Ann Vassall, an early settler from Essex, England, welcomes you to the Massachusetts Bay after your long voyage across the Atlantic.

Learn what it’s like to live in the Massachusetts Bay Colony in 1637 and why she thinks this is the year that will make or break the colony.

Find out why a small, but vocal group of settlers decided the Bay was not for them.
